NAD+ Therapy in Huntington Beach

NAD+ therapy delivers nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), a coenzyme your cells use in energy metabolism, usually through a slow IV infusion. It is typically chosen by adults who are interested in wellness and healthy aging support and want a medically supervised option. At CAIR SPA in Huntington Beach, we screen every guest first and are upfront that research on its wellness benefits is still developing.

Overview

What is NAD+ Therapy?

NAD+ is a molecule found in every living cell. It helps the body turn food into usable energy and plays a role in many routine cellular processes, including DNA repair. Studies show that NAD+ levels tend to decline with age, which has led to strong scientific interest in whether raising NAD+ can support healthy aging.

That interest is real, but the evidence is still early. Much of the research has been done in laboratory and animal studies, and human studies of IV NAD+ for general wellness are limited. NAD+ therapy is not a treatment for any disease, and we do not promise specific outcomes such as more energy, better focus or anti-aging effects. Some guests report feeling well after sessions, while others notice little change. If you are curious and understand the current evidence, a supervised infusion is a careful way to try it. All services at CAIR SPA are performed under the oversight of Tran Plastic Surgery, led by Dr. Tuan Tran.

The process

How NAD+ Therapy works at CAIR SPA

01

Consultation

We review your health history, medications and goals, and talk openly about what current research does and does not show. This is the time to ask questions and decide whether NAD+ therapy makes sense for you.

02

Screening and plan

Your provider confirms you are a suitable candidate and recommends a dose and infusion plan. Vital signs are checked before you begin.

03

Infusion

NAD+ is given slowly through an IV while you relax. Staff monitor you and adjust the drip rate if you feel any discomfort.

04

Follow-up

After your session we check in on how you felt, note any side effects and decide together whether additional sessions are worthwhile.

What to expect

Before, during and after

Every plan is personalized. Your provider will walk you through preparation and aftercare at your consultation.

Before

Eat a light meal and drink water beforehand. Plan for a longer appointment than a standard IV drip, and bring something to read or listen to. Share all medications and supplements you take, including any NAD+ precursors such as NR or NMN.

During

NAD+ is infused slowly because a faster rate can cause temporary effects such as flushing, nausea, stomach cramping, headache or a feeling of pressure in the chest. These usually ease quickly when the drip is slowed, so tell staff right away if you notice them.

After

Most people return to normal activities the same day. Some feel tired or mildly lightheaded for a short time afterward. Bruising at the IV site may occur and typically fades within a few days.

Expert oversight you can trust

All services are performed under Tran Plastic Surgery. Tran Plastic Surgery is led by Dr. Tuan Tran, who is triple board-certified in plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery, and is located in our building at 20951 Brookhurst St.

NAD+ Therapy questions, answered

How much does NAD+ therapy cost?

The price depends on the plan, including the dose and number of sessions your provider recommends. We give you an exact quote at your free consultation.

Is there downtime after NAD+ therapy?

Most people have no downtime and can resume normal activities the same day. Because the infusion is long, some guests feel a bit tired afterward, so plan an easy rest of the day if you can.

How long do the effects of NAD+ therapy last?

There is no reliable answer yet. Responses vary from person to person, and research on how long any effects last in healthy adults is limited. Your provider will help you decide on a schedule based on how you respond.

Does NAD+ therapy hurt?

Placing the IV feels like a quick pinch. During the infusion, some people feel flushing, nausea or cramping if the rate is too fast. We infuse slowly and adjust as needed to keep you comfortable.

Who is a good candidate for NAD+ therapy?

Generally healthy adults who are interested in wellness support and understand that the evidence is still developing are typical candidates. People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who have certain medical conditions, may not be good candidates. Your provider will review your history before recommending treatment.

Can NAD+ therapy treat a medical condition?

NAD+ therapy at our Huntington Beach spa is offered as a wellness service, not as a treatment for any disease or condition. If you have health concerns, please talk with your primary care physician or specialist. We are happy to work alongside your existing care.
